> Tens of thousands protested across Spain over the government’s handling of the mass migrant crossing from Morocco into Ceuta in July. Authorities said 50,000 people demonstrated in Madrid alone. Tensions continued in Ceuta after the rallies, with gunshots and explosions heard for hours. Protesters carried signs attacking Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez and migrants.
