> US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth is facing condemnation in Canada over a social media post that appears to mock members of the country’s youth cadet programme. Defence Minister David McGuinty called it “below the dignity of the office”, while Prime Minister Mark Carney said trade talks would resume only when the US stops the memes and taunts and engages seriously.
