# Russian expedition to continue work in Svalbard after vessel seized

> Members of an expedition transported to Svalbard by the Russian research vessel Professor Molchanov will continue working according to schedule after Norwegian authorities seized the ship. The governor’s office said the vessel was detained at the request of Ukraine’s Naftogaz and cannot leave its current location pending a decision.
