> Israel’s defence minister, Israel Katz, said the government is seeking Donald Trump’s support for removing Palestinians from Gaza, arguing that US backing could persuade neighbouring countries to accept refugees. Katz said Israel was prepared to move them by sea, air or any possible means; the proposal has been widely condemned as a potential war crime.
