> Floodwaters carrying mud, boulders, ice and rock swept through Gyirong on the Tibet-Nepal border, destroying much of the border infrastructure. On Nepal’s side, the Rasuwagadhi crossing, Friendship Bridge and Timure trading settlement were also badly damaged, while many travellers and border staff went missing.
