> Germany’s Social Democratic Party is sinking deeper into crisis as voters turn away and unrest grows among its grassroots. In Saxony-Anhalt, the SPD is polling at 7-8%, far behind the AfD’s 42%, and fears falling below the 5% threshold. Its troubles are also tied to the unpopular federal coalition and a disputed pension reform.
