> Nepalese authorities say about 4,000 people remain unaccounted for as teams with search dogs comb through mud, rocks and debris left by last week’s flash floods near the Nepal-China Himalayan border. Nepal has reported 987 deaths and China 16, while roads and unstable terrain hamper rescue efforts. Around 500 workers may be trapped in hydropower tunnels.
