# How catastrophic flash floods devastated the remote Nepal-China border crossing

> Catastrophic floods at Gyirong in China and Rasuwagadhi in Nepal swept through the remote border crossing, carrying mud, boulders, ice and rock and destroying buildings, vehicles, the Friendship Bridge and border facilities. More than 100 Indians may have been nearby, while at least 275 Indians remain missing in Nepal.
