> Donald Trump threatened to hit Iran “hard” after the two sides exchanged fire for the first time in more than a month. Iran’s president warned that further fighting with the US was not in Iran’s interest. After six months of war, the rivals remain deadlocked, with Iran keeping the Strait of Hormuz closed and the US maintaining a naval counter-blockade.
