> EU diplomat Kaja Kallas said Operation IRINI forces boarded the oil tanker MV Sun in the Mediterranean on Aug. 30 to verify its flag. The vessel is suspected of sailing under a false flag as part of Russia’s sanctions-evading shadow fleet. Kallas called the fleet’s illegal oil sales a critical lifeline for Moscow’s war in Ukraine.
