> Nepal’s devastating floods have killed 919 people, while 4,247 are listed as missing, China Central Television reported, citing Nepalese police. The disaster struck northern Nepal on August 26 after what preliminary information described as a snow and rock avalanche near the Nepal-China border, sending a torrent of debris downstream that destroyed settlements and flooded a wide area.
