> At Tribhuvan Trishuli Secondary School in Nuwakot, principal Rajendra Dawadi evacuated all 900 students and staff within 10 minutes after receiving warnings of an approaching disaster. Floodwater and debris engulfed the school immediately afterward. A student described escaping up a hillside via a narrow ladder, while Dawadi said better warning and evacuation systems could have prompted an earlier response.
