> The barrier lake above Gyirong Port in southwest China’s Xizang has largely drained, returning the river channel to a flowing state, the Ministry of Water Resources said. An upstream impact crater and downstream water-accumulation areas remain hazardous and require monitoring. A newer lake formed after a Nepal-side landslide has also been breached by water flow.
