> Google Maps is changing Lake Ontario to “Lake America” for users in the United States, while keeping Lake Ontario for Canadian users and displaying both names elsewhere. Google said the update follows the US Geographic Names Information System. Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney and Ontario Premier Doug Ford rejected the change, saying the lake’s longstanding name should remain.
