> US President Donald Trump says oil from a recently announced deal with Venezuela will replenish the Strategic Petroleum Reserve, with the “topping out” process starting soon. He called the oil a “Gift from Venezuela to the People of the United States” and blamed Joe Biden for leaving the reserve “virtually” empty. The timing and short-term benefit remain unclear. Venezuela’s interim President Delcy Rodriguez said the 25-year agreement would develop its oil industry while preserving ownership and sovereignty over its resources.
