> Canada put up a huge sign declaring “Lake Ontario. Now and Always” after the US government administratively renamed the lake “Lake America.” Donald Trump responded with a video showing himself replacing a Lake Ontario sign with one bearing his preferred name. The dispute has become the public face of an escalating US-Canada trade fight involving a 50% US tariff on Canadian steel and Ottawa’s retaliatory tariffs.
