> The death toll from a major landslide in Tibet has risen to 16, while 546 people remain missing, according to Gyirong County authorities. Preliminary data suggest an avalanche near the Chinese border triggered flooding; a torrent of rock traveled more than 70 kilometers, destroying settlements and inundating a wide area. Nepal reported at least 675 deaths and over 2,400 missing.
