> Rescue operations have resumed along the Nepal-Tibet border after a pause prompted by fears of another glacial flood. Nepal reports at least 579 deaths and 1,924 missing, while Tibet has recorded five deaths and 558 missing. A lake formed by the glacier collapse remains unstable, though its immediate risks were judged manageable.
