> Nigerian police say a hasty operation to free people abducted in Niger State could put their lives at greater risk. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has ordered a coordinated military, police and intelligence response. A video appears to show about 600 captives, though the figure has not been independently verified. Officials say the rescue will be guided by intelligence, with bringing the victims home alive as the priority.
