> China has paused rescue work at the centre of flooding in Tibet after a debris-formed lake began overflowing and was judged at risk of breaching. Nepal’s death toll has reached 469, with more than 1,300 people missing. Damaged roads and bridges are complicating searches, including for tourists and people trapped in a hydropower tunnel.
