> Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa said Syria had shed a “dark stain” after the United States formally removed it from the state sponsors of terrorism list. He described the move as opening a path toward development, reconstruction and rebuilding. Washington had maintained the designation for decades over Syria’s ties with Hezbollah, Palestinian factions and Iran.
