> Russia’s banking sector recorded a 18% month-on-month increase in net profit in July, reaching 443 billion rubles ($5.28 billion), the Bank of Russia said. Core profit rose 28% as provisions for problem assets fell, while corporate-sector expenses dropped 77%. The regulator forecasts 2026 banking profits of 3.4–3.9 trillion rubles.
