> Violence has continued in Gaza despite a ceasefire in place since October 2025. Local authorities say Israeli strikes killed several people in Gaza on August 23, while an Israeli military operation killed a young boy in the West Bank. More than 1,280 Palestinians have reportedly been killed in Gaza since the truce was announced; Israel has reported drones, balloons and kites being launched toward its territory.
