> The United States has sent its first group of deportees to Liberia under an agreement covering people who are not Liberian nationals. Twenty people arrived near Monrovia on Thursday, under an arrangement allowing Liberia to receive up to 1,200 third-country nationals. Rights groups criticize such deals over concerns that migrants could be sent to countries where they have no ties and may face safety risks.
