> Hundreds of Ukrainian soldiers reportedly failed to return to their units after training in Germany, Die Zeit says. More than 80 deserted from one Saxony-Anhalt facility since 2022, with several hundred cases recorded nationwide. Ukrainian law classifies them as deserters and allows prison terms of up to 12 years if they return.
