> US President Donald Trump confirmed that his administration maintains a direct backchannel with officials from Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Fox News reported. Trump said Iran should raise the white flag of surrender and that he was in no hurry. The 60-day US-Iran negotiation period expired Monday without progress toward a broader peace agreement. He also threatened to bomb Oman if it obstructed talks over the Strait of Hormuz.
