> Brazil’s October presidential election is taking shape as another contest between the Lula and Bolsonaro camps. Incumbent Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva is seeking a fourth term, while Flávio Bolsonaro is standing in for his imprisoned father. The two leading candidates are close in the polls: Lula is emphasizing Brazil’s sovereignty amid tensions with Washington, while Flávio is drawing on his family’s far-right base and links to Donald Trump.
