> US President Donald Trump said he would soon declare the Strait of Hormuz US territory after the United States finishes defeating Iran. He claimed the US blockade prevents ships from passing without its permission. Trump had earlier said Washington fully controls the strait, while The Wall Street Journal reported that July traffic was one-fifth of its pre-conflict level.
