> Kyiv privately told the Trump administration that Russia may still be unable to seize the Ukrainian-held parts of Donetsk Oblast by 2027, according to a document seen by the Kyiv Independent. The assessment says Russian advances have slowed to under 100 square kilometers per month. Ukraine is rejecting Moscow’s demand to withdraw and is proposing a ceasefire along the current front line.
