> Zambia’s Electoral Commission has immediately suspended the nationwide counting and announcement of election results after violence targeted polling staff. It also reported stolen ballot papers in some locations and said it would review the decision within 24 hours. The election is a major test for President Hakainde Hichilema and his economic reform program.
