# Shanghai foreign trade rises 12.6% in July as AI-related product trade surges

> Shanghai’s imports and exports reached 447.57 billion yuan in July, rising 12.6% year on year for an 18th straight month of growth. January-July trade totaled 3 trillion yuan, up 17.7%. AI-related products drove much of the increase, while exports of electric vehicles, lithium batteries and photovoltaic products also climbed sharply.
