> At least 437 civilians were killed and 2,610 injured in Ukraine in July, a 30 percent rise from the previous month and 70 percent increase from July 2025, the UN Human Rights Monitoring Mission said. The UN has verified 16,874 civilian deaths since Russia’s invasion but says the total is likely a significant underestimate because casualties in Russian-occupied areas cannot be confirmed.
