> Three men convicted of murder in Tennessee, Alabama and Oklahoma are scheduled to be executed on Thursday, the first time in 16 years that three people would be put to death in the US on one day. Executions have risen sharply, with Florida accounting for much of the increase under Governor Ron DeSantis. Donald Trump’s administration has also reinstated and expanded death-penalty policies.
