> China’s Defense Ministry has announced that the Chinese and Indonesian navies will conduct joint navigation training in waters east of Taiwan in the middle of this month. The move is viewed as an effort by China to strengthen its claim of jurisdiction. Taiwan’s authorities have condemned the planned activity as a “military provocation.”
