> Andrew Bragg is set to outline Coalition plans to reduce net overseas migration sharply and scrap most of the house construction code. The proposals come as politicians continue debating the causes of Australia’s housing problems and possible solutions. Shadow treasurer Tim Wilson cautions against assuming that the Coalition has settled on a target of 180,000 net overseas migrants. He says the party has not announced its election position, while the article notes that a reduction on this scale would be manageable and comparable to a recent historical decline.
