> Hungary’s parliament has confirmed Andras Baka as the country’s new president by an overwhelming majority. Baka previously led the Supreme Court and will take on a role described as largely ceremonial. The vote comes after new Prime Minister Peter Magyar controversially removed his predecessor. The appointment marks a notable change in Hungary’s political leadership.
