> At least 2,000 people have died in the Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, according to the latest figures. The outbreak is described as the fastest-growing ever recorded. Health authorities are struggling to secure assistance for remote communities. Rebel conflict, poor roads and work stoppages linked to payment disputes are obstructing the response.
