> Japan’s Defense Ministry has issued its latest white paper, titled “Defense of Japan 2026.” The commentary portrays the document as further evidence of what it calls Japan’s dangerous neo-militarist agenda. It criticizes the paper for presenting militarism as a vision of the future. The assessment is explicitly negative toward the ministry’s stated defense direction.
