> Donald Trump says he will demand compensation from Iran for the deaths of thousands of US soldiers and Iranian civilians over recent decades. The demand is presented as the latest indication that talks aimed at ending the war and reopening the Strait of Hormuz have stalled. Trump is also seeking to end conflicts involving Iran, Gaza and Lebanon. His additional conditions could anger Tehran, while Israel has rejected his 15-point roadmap for ending the war in Gaza.
