> President Donald Trump has prolonged the waiver for another 90 days, allowing foreign-flagged vessels to move oil and other commodities between U.S. ports. The White House said the extension comes with fresh restrictions that narrow how the waiver can be used. Shipbuilders and their congressional allies had argued that the policy was weakening the domestic maritime industry. The administration therefore kept the waiver in place while limiting its reach.
