> A fresh spell of intense heat is expected to move across Europe this week, adding pressure to a continent already suffering from severe dryness. The conditions could increase the danger of wildfires and put crops at risk. They may also further dry the watersheds that supply Europe’s critically low rivers, creating additional strain on water resources and power systems.
