> Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he would reject a roadmap intended to advance peace in the Gaza Strip. The roadmap was presented under a US-led peace plan and includes steps toward the disarmament of the Islamic organization Hamas. His declaration leaves the prospects for achieving peace unclear. The situation surrounding a possible peace process therefore remains difficult to foresee.
