> Typhoon Dolphin has reached China’s east coast as the most powerful tropical cyclone to hit the country this year. Torrential rain and strong winds have accompanied the storm, prompting warnings about flooding and landslides. Before reaching China, it passed through Japan’s southern Okinawa prefecture. Six people were injured there, while power was cut to more than 50,000 buildings.
