> Syria says it has reached an agreement with Russia over the future of two military bases. Under the deal, Syria will assume responsibility for managing both facilities. The bases were used to support Bashar Assad, who was later ousted as leader. That support took place during Syria’s civil war. The arrangement marks a change in how the two sites will be administered.
