> Serbian emergency services are fighting several wildfires across the country as powerful winds, extreme temperatures and a prolonged drought create more dangerous fire conditions. A blaze that had reignited in the Deliblato Sands protected nature reserve in northeastern Serbia was burning through about 300 hectares of pine forest on Wednesday. The fires are unfolding amid increasingly severe heat and dryness. Authorities are working to contain the flames in multiple locations. The Deliblato Sands fire is one of the reported outbreaks.
