> Spain introduced temporary checks on travellers arriving from Italy on Saturday, escalating a migration dispute between the two EU partners. The action followed Italy’s decision to impose comparable controls. Italy acted after more than 70,000 migrants crossed from Morocco into Spain’s Ceuta enclave. Most of those migrants subsequently returned.
