> Masrour Barzani, prime minister of Iraq’s Kurdish region, says the territory wants to avoid being drawn into regional conflicts. In an Al Jazeera interview, he rejects claims that it is under pressure to join the war against Iran. His denial comes after the region has faced more than 1,000 attacks. Barzani presents staying out of the conflict as the region’s stated position.
