> The U.S. Senate has approved Todd Blanche as the country’s next attorney general. The confirmation passed by a 50-49 vote early Saturday. It followed a bruising fight over his nomination. Blanche’s past role as President Donald Trump’s personal attorney fueled deep concerns in both parties about placing him in charge of the Justice Department.
