> The US Senate has approved broad sanctions targeting Russian energy amid the war in Ukraine. The legislation introduces aggressive economic penalties against entities importing Russian oil and gas. One measure would impose a 100 percent tariff on those importers. The bill marks a major congressional move to intensify economic pressure linked to Russian energy trade.
