> Spain says it will impose temporary border checks on people arriving from Italy. The move responds to Rome’s similar measures after a mass movement of people from Morocco into Ceuta. Spain’s interior ministry cited the “persistent irregular migration pressure” facing Italy. The checks are due to begin at midnight on Saturday and remain in place until 7 September.
